OVERLOOKED
Evocative Art.
Hiding in Plain Sight.
A Photography Exhibition by Tim Gentle
August 4-9th, 2026
The Show Gallery, 978 Queen St. West, Toronto
Overlooked explores the intentional art of finding unintentional art hiding the urban surfaces we tend to walk past everyday.
Compositions found in rusted dumpsters, splattered paint, peeling posters, weathered metal - collaborations of unknowable combinations, mysterious circumstances, intricate conditions and unwitting agents. Art made by the city itself.
Every photograph was discovered exactly as seen. Nothing has been painted, staged or digitally created.
Slow down… there are hosts of tantalizing textures and curious compositions calling out for your deeper appreciation everyday.
